Senior Manager, Green Analytics Green Investment Group

Robin is a Senior Manager in the Green Investment Group (GIG) Green Analytics team, which forms part of the Macquarie Asset Management Sustainability team.

Robin joined GIG in 2018. He has over 15 years experience in environmental science and sustainable finance, and is a Chartered Project Professional (Association for Project Management).

Robin’s role involves implementing GIG’s green investment framework by evaluating the green impact of its investments. He is experienced in structuring green frameworks for green debt instruments and for investment decision making. Robin has led the development of GIG’s data-centric green impact capability to demonstrate the environmental benefits of green investments. This capability is applied for reporting the green impact of GIG’s principal activities and managed funds and is offered to select third party investors, as well as in collaboration with Bloomberg with the Project Impact Tracker tool on the BNEF platform.

Prior to joining GIG, Robin worked in environmental and engineering consultancy, where he led a business line to deliver energy and carbon saving initiatives for utilities clients. He also developed analytical techniques to model carbon emissions of infrastructure projects and gained significant experience managing complex projects and programmes. He is author of a number of peer-reviewed articles on analytical science and carbon accounting.

Robin represents Macquarie as the Co-chair of Financial Services Taskforce Working Group on Sustainable Finance under the Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI). He is also the Co-chair of the industry-led Sustainable Infrastructure Labelling initiative, under the Financing to Accelerate the Sustainable Transition-Infrastructure (FAST-Infra).
