Charlie is a Senior Investment Director at DIF Capital Partners, an independent infrastructure equity fund manager with more than €15 billion of assets under management. Charlie joined DIF’s London office in early 2021 to focus on DIF’s renewable energy strategy. He has been involved in originating, executing, and managing renewable energy and battery storage transactions across Europe. He spends most of his time at DIF focusing on development/platform investment opportunities.
Prior to joining DIF, Charlie was at Statkraft as VP Commercial in the European Wind and Solar division at a time when Statkraft held a very active M&A programme as part of its drive to rapidly expand its onshore wind and solar business. He previously worked for Element Power, a European renewables developer which was acquired by Statkraft in 2018.
Charlie spent the first half of his 11+ years career in accounting and corporate finance, initially at PwC and then Investec bank – always with a primary focus on the renewables sector.
This session will begin with a quick-fire presentation which will be delivered by Bloomberg. It will cover the landscape and context for M&A and partnerships in 2023.
The audience will then split into smaller round table discussion groups where investors and developers can discuss business 1-2-1. Each round table will be hosted by an investor and developers will move around the room.
