Dr Dierk Paskert (*1961) studied law and economics at the universities in Würzburg and Münster, obtaining his PhD from the latter in 1991.
Dr Dierk Paskert started his professional career in investment banking at Trinkaus & Burkhardt, a German private bank.
In 1996, he changed to the Veba Group, where he held several management positions, e.g. at Degussa-Hüls and Stinnes, the Group’s logistics subsidiary. At the latter, he was responsible for M&A and the corporate strategy.
In 2001, he joined the Management Board of SCHENKER AG in Essen. In 2003, he was put in charge of the corporate strategy at E.ON, where he was instrumental in opening the Group up to renewable energy.
In early 2008 he was appointed to the Board of Management of E.ON-Energie AG in Munich. There he was responsible for the Network Division and served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of various national and international grid companies.
From 2012 to 2015, Dr Dierk Paskert was Managing Director of Rohstoffallianz. At the same time, as a business angel and investor at The Mobilityhouse AG, he gained early experience in the field of electromobility and battery storage.
In September 2017, Dr Paskert was appointed to the Management Board of Encavis AG, where he has been Chairman ever since. He is also member of the Management Board of the German Solar Association (BSW).
