Olivier Fricot joined Investec in 2006 and heads up the power & infrastructure lending activities in London covering UK and European markets. He has structured and closed transactions across the capital structure. Over the past five years, he has established Investec as a leading franchise in a number of sector across Europe including solar, bio-energy and thermal power. Over the years, Olivier and his team have brought a very innovative approach to those sectors and closed a number of complex, ground breaking transactions with leading sponsors such as Lightsource BP, Canadian Solar, Bluefield, Energy Capital Partners or the Green Investment Group. Last year, it successfully structured and arranged the construction finance for Gridserve solar and battery projects in York and Hull. The team is actively pursuing transactions in the unsubsidised renewable as lead arranger, debt or M&A adviser. Olivier previously worked with Rolls-Royce Power Ventures as an international power developer in the EMEA region where he developed and built a number of thermal projects in Europe and Africa. He started his career with Veolia in London developing waste infrastructure. Olivier holds a master degree in engineering from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and an executive MBA from the Instituto de Empresa.
