Radu Gruescu is a Partner at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), where he is responsible for a number of investments in the European renewable energy sector. He is currently a board member of various CIP investments in the UK, Spain and Germany, such as Monegros, Teruel, Bute and Deutsche ErdWärme.
Radu has more than 20 years experience in the sector and has executed numerous investments and transactions across most renewable energy technologies, including onshore wind, offshore wind, solar PV, biomass, energy-from-waste and geothermal. Prior to CIP, Radu was a Director at Terra Firma Capital Partners focusing on renewable energy platforms such as Infinis in the UK and Rete Rinnovabile (RTR) in Italy. Prior to that, he worked for Centrica with a focus on corporate M&A and offshore wind partnerships. Radu started his career in energy investment banking at J.P.Morgan, having graduated with a Master’s in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from Darmstadt University of Technology (TUD) in Germany.
