Ricardo Folgado

Ricardo Folgado is the Chief Development officer at Brookfield Renewables Europe, where he is responsible for leading the development of renewable energy projects across Europe, as well as supporting wider origination, commercial structuring and investments. Ricardo is an experienced renewable energy professional, having spent the last 11+ years performing very similar roles at GE Capital and at Lightsource BP, where he developed, structured and closed GWs of renewable energy projects and PPAs across Europe and Emerging Markets, across most technologies. Prior to his energy career, Ricardo was a strategy consultant with Accenture and HSBC, and is an alum of Oxford Brooks University, London Business School and Kings College London. He is Portuguese and British, based in London and with a young family which keeps him fit and grounded.
