Nancy Lu Wang

Nancy Wang is an Investment Director at Octopus Energy Generation, the generation arm of the Octopus Energy Group. Since joining Octopus, Nancy has led the investment strategy in solar, onshore wind and battery storage for GB, the largest market for the company, and more recently, spearheaded the development and implementation of the company’s co-investment and SMA strategy, building partnerships with large institutional investors on larger transactions.

With 16 years of experience in the infrastructure and energy space in multiple regions and across both equity and debt, Nancy started her career in investment banking M&A advisory in Asia in energy and mining industry. She also had a long tenure working at the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank focusing on energy and infra debt and equity transactions in the Middle East and Africa region prior to joining Octopus.

Nancy is a strong believer and advocate for using technology and innovation to build a more agile, flexible and accessible energy system adapted to a low carbon future, and passionate about supporting the economic development and climate adaptation of emerging markets.
