Hugh Unwin

Hugh joined Schroders Greencoat (then Greencoat Capital) in 2019 and is responsible for the operation and management of infrastructure assets, focusing on Energy Transition assets (bioenergy, renewable heat, anaerobic digestion, green hydrogen and district heating). He commenced his professional career in the infrastructure sector in 1994. Hugh joined Schroders Greencoat from Foresight, where he spent four years leading the management of their portfolio of bioenergy investments.

Prior to Foresight, Hugh spent seven years developing large-scale biomass projects in the UK and South East Asia, leading on all commercial aspects. Hugh is a Chartered Engineer and spent the first ten years of his career as a practicing civil engineer. Hugh has an MA in Engineering from Cambridge University and an MBA from INSEAD.
