Johan Öhnell

Johan Öhnell is today a senior advisor at Solkompaniet, which is the market leader in large-scale solar power in Sweden. The company develops solar parks from origination to EPC and started in 2010. Between 2013 and 2022, Johan was the working chairman of the board of Solkompaniet. He has also been a board member of the industry association Swedish Solar Energy for ten years until autumn 2023 and is today a board member of the newly formed network for solar parks in Sweden.

Johan started the electricity retailer Telge Energi in connection with the deregulation of the electricity market in Sweden in the 90s and was CEO for 16 years. He has always worked with lobbying and impact issues both as chairman of the Swedish trade association Independent Electricity Retailers and later in the Solar Commission, which was involved in opening up the regulations for rooftop solar in Sweden.

Johan has a degree from Uppsala University in Business administration and studies in international relations.
