Moustafa Ramadan

Moustafa Ramadan, PhD, has studied and worked in the energy transition for over a decade. He is qualified in Energy Systems Engineering (BEng, MEng), Energy markets and finance (MSc) and Energy Law (LLM). He has also completed a PhD in sustainable finance, specifically on pollution’s role in local areas and economies. During his PhD, he designed and consulted on multiple large-scale solar projects across the Middle East and Africa.

In the last few years, Moustafa has focused on sustainability and ESG in the private equity space. He managed ESG data for nearly $1tr AUM and developed world-leading carbon footprinting and benchmarking tools. He has also led and personally completed the due diligence on over 100 renewable energy projects, ranging from Solar and wind to grid connections and energy from waste. Since joining Informa, he has focused mainly on the solar module manufacturing and bankability reports.
