Rob McNabb

Rob is a construction and engineering partner in EY Law based in London, with over 20 years of experience of advising on large scale construction and infrastructure projects both in the UK and internationally. Rob is ranked in Tier 1 for construction in Chambers and as a leading individual in Legal 500.  Chambers comments that “Rob has huge industry experience and helps clients make the right strategic decisions”.

Prior to joining EY, Rob was a partner at an international law firm where he led the firm’s energy construction group and gained extensive expertise in advising on projects involving new technologies, in new jurisdictions and adopting new procurement and financing structures. For example, Rob led on the procurement and construction of the first utility scale wind project to be constructed in Africa and the construction and financing of the first utility scale solar project to be constructed in the Middle East.

Rob regularly provides ongoing support during the lifecycle of projects helping client’s manage issues arising during and post construction and is often asked to be part of client’s strategic leadership teams on major projects.   Rob regularly advises clients on their decarbonisation and sustainability strategies and jointly leads EY Law’s sustainability legal due diligence offering.

Rob is regularly asked to speak on industry wide issues and has spoken at conferences across the UK as well as in Dubai, Cairo, New York, Riyadh, Singapore, Taipei, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Paris, Islamabad, Amman and Abu Dhabi.
