Gauri Kasbekar-Shah

Gauri is a project finance specialist with almost 20 years of in-depth experience in the energy and renewables sector. She has led deal teams on a number of notable transactions in the UK and Europe ranging across all technologies from wind (onshore and offshore), solar, biomass, WtE, biogas and complimentary infrastructure including batteries and EV charging.

She has led on a number of landmark transactions including platform financings for Ventient Energy, Octopus Energy, Greencoat Wind, NTR, LightsourceBP, JPMAM, Saeta Yield and other clients for multiple technologies to grow cross-border renewable portfolios. In the solar sector in particular Gauri has led on landmark projects including Project Lion King which is £150m bilateral facility for financing of a large portfolio of UK solar assets for LightsourceBP, Project Lorax which is the £45m financing of acquisition bridge facility for rooftop and ground mounted solar assets for Innova Energy, £150m RCF for a mixed portfolio of predominantly leveraged assets for Octopus Energy, amongst others. Since joining ERAM she has been instrumental in financing solar projects across Europe with subsidies and also on a merchant basis.

Prior to joining Edmond de Rothschild, Gauri was a senior director in the Project Finance and Infrastructure team at Natwest (formerly RBS) for 14 years which is a market leading project finance team in the U.K. As a thought leader in the sector she is a regular speaker on panels and at conferences.
