Matt Black

Matt is the Managing Director UK overseeing the Innovo Group’s activities in the Country.

He is currently Chair of Solar Energy UK, providing strategic input, governance, and support on crucial relationships with Government and industry. He is also a Director of Solivus, a leading rooftop solar provider and developer of beautiful solar products to power homes and electric vehicles.

Matt has 15 years of experience as an investor, entrepreneur, and adviser, specializing in investments in solar and storage projects.

Previously he led Armstrong Capital’s clean energy investment team, overseeing corporate finance and investment management of a portfolio of energy projects.

From 2012 to 2018, Matt was a senior member of Foresight Group’s infrastructure investment team, leading the origination and acquisition of solar projects and establishing the asset management structure for a business that grew to c.700MW .

He started his career as Investment Manager and Structurer at Credit Suisse, working across several institutional and retail investments.
